Budgeting

A budget is only useful if you can compare it to reality without extra work. In netclariq you set planned amounts by category, and every transaction updates the variance instantly.

From the month to the year, without duplicating work

You plan a full year in a category-by-month grid, with the option to repeat an amount across every month or adjust it only where needed. The monthly budget stays in sync with that plan.

  • Editable annual grid, category by category
  • Quick copy from one month to the rest of the year
  • Comparison against actual spend from previous years

Variances you see in time

The variance table ranks categories by the difference from plan, in amount and in percentage, so an overspend shows up mid-month instead of when there's no room left.

Assisted categorization

Categorization rules learn from your usual transaction descriptions and assign the category automatically when you record or import movements. You can always correct them.

Frequently asked questions

Can I budget income as well as expenses?
Yes. Income categories are planned the same way as expense categories, and projected savings is calculated as the difference between the two.
What about expenses that aren't monthly?
You can spread the annual amount across the months when the charge actually happens, for example an insurance premium or an annual fee, and the year-end close still adds up.
